Please read these terms and conditions carefully. By making a purchase on this website or in person, you agree to be bound by the terms and conditions below. These terms and conditions are subject to change without notice, from time to time in our sole discretion. We will notify you of amendment to these terms and condition by posting them to this website. If you do not agree with these terms and conditions, please do not make a purchase. No staff member can alter or amend the terms and conditions without a written contract that is signed by the Executive Director.
Registration Policy:
All participants must have a current application submitted prior to the start of their program. When signing up online, the application will automatically be processed. If signing up over the phone or in person, a paper copy will be used. It is available in the office or online.
Refund & Payment Policy – Youth:
A non-refundable, non-transferable deposit of 50% of the fee is included in the price of all programming. Payment in full by cash, check or charge is due prior to the start of any program.
For all youth programming, please give us 30 days’ notice in order to secure a refund (excluding 50% non-refundable deposit) in order to open your space to another sailor. No refund will be issued within one month of any program unless there is a verifiable medical emergency. Tuition fees less 50% non-refundable will be refunded with an approved medical excuse. Regatta Point Community Sailing, Inc. reserves the right to cancel programs with insufficient registrations and provide refunds.
RPCS can discontinue participation in the unlikely event of persistent disruptive behavior without a refund. Parent/Guardian will be notified prior to this action.
Refund & Payment Policy – Adult:
For all adult memberships, no refunds will be given. If there is a valid medical reason, a credit will be given to extend the membership for the duration of the incapacity.
Refund Policy – Donations & Merchandise:
Regatta Point appreciates your donations and uses them to fund scholarships, aid in keeping cost low and other programming. As such, we do not offer refunds.
All sales are final on merchandise and equipment. Used equipment is sold as it and without warrantee.
Weather Policy:
Regatta Point operates its programming during most weather and water conditions. Part of learning to sail occurs on land. During times we cannot be on the water, the focus is on land based learning. We are proficient at altering a plan for weather and water conditions by limiting certain activities to ensure everyone is safe and having fun. Efforts will be made to make up weather cancelled classes, but are not guaranteed. Refund will not be offered due to a participant’s inability to partake in the makeup. Regatta Point does not offer refunds due weather or water conditions.
Information Security Policy:
At Regatta Point Community Sailing, Inc., we respect and are committed to protecting your privacy. Your payment and personal information is always safe. Our Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) software is the industry standard and among the best software available today for secure commerce transactions. It encrypts all of your personal information, including credit card number, name, and address, so that it cannot be read over the internet.
We may collect personal information for our records but will not sell or give it away. Your email will be added to our mailing list to keep you informed of special event, deals and promotions. You may opt out of this at any time but using the unsubscribe button at the bottom of every email.
Shipping Policy:
Please be assured that your items will be shipped out within two business days of purchase. We determine the most efficient shipping carrier for your order. The carriers that can be used are US Postal Service (USPS), United Parcel Service (UPS) or FedEx.
Shipping and Handling Costs are not covered in the price of the product unless otherwise specified.
Payment Policy:
A completed payment, deposit and remainder, are due at the beginning of the first day. Online registration requires a credit card (Visa, MasterCard or Discover). We accept cash, money orders, personal checks or credit cards in-person. Checks should be made payable to RPCS or Regatta Point Community Sailing, Inc. Returned checks will be charged a $35 fee payable by bank check or cash. We do not pro-rate class fees.
Scholarship Policy:
If a financial hardship exists, fee reductions may be requested in writing to the Executive Director. Contact the office, confidentially, for further information and to receive an application. At this time, scholarships cannot be processed online.
Participant Photograph Policy:
Registrants/participants permit the taking of photos and videos of themselves and their children during recreation activities for publication/use by Regatta Point Community Sailing, Inc. or outside vendors who administer our programs. Occasionally, local newspapers may use photos of participants in our programs, along with their names, in their publications. If you do not want your child to appear in photos, please decline it on the application.
Age Requirements:
Age is at the start of any programming. These requirements are setup out of concern for your child’s safety, well-being and enjoyment. Violators will be removed from the programming without a refund of fees. Proof of age maybe required.
Equipment Reservation Policy:
Non-members: Equipment reservations can be canceled with a 24 hour notification. Cancellations less than 24 hours can be moved to another day.
Members can change their reservations in RecHub to fit the needs of their schedule.
