About Us
Our Story
Regatta Point Community Sailing (RPCS) was founded as a non-profit corporation in 1963. Al Fearn, RPCS’s first manager, grew and developed the company. He wanted to bring the joys of boating to as many adults and kids as he could find.
In fact, Al did everything in his power as a manager to ensure that no kid would be left ashore due to financial hardship; a mission that continues to this day. Regatta Point raises funds from our own fund-raisers and other organizational grants to provide scholarships to children.
In 1999, after forty years in service, the state legislature approved funds for remodeling our building. Our new boathouse was named Allan E. Fearn, after the man who gave almost half of his life to the Worcester Community.
Today, Regatta Point is managed by Casey Duva, who has been involved with Regatta Point since 2001. We’re constantly keeping our equipment up-to-date, adding new events and perks to keep our members excited, and improving the quality of our services.
